Services
INA’s portal is a real improvement for albanological research, for South-East European Studies and more. It offers a whole series of important and very advantageous services for its users and in particular for the Network’s members, who represent the first association of albanologists. This portal constitutes a modern and necessary platform for scientific research, communication and collaboration. Furthermore, some of its sections come as a response to the needs of the students and amateurs of albanology. The most important services offered by INA include:
- associating worldwide albanologists and scientific albanological structures, as well as facilitating and advancing communication among them,
- providing detailed and up-to-date information about the activities of albanological structures in the world,
- gathering and offering information about albanologists and scientist from other related domains, as well as other albanological structures,
- offering members the possibility of presenting their work (published or not),
- creating the necessary conditions for an efficient and effective integration of albanology into related scientific disciplines (such as South-East European Studies, Indo-European studies, romance philology, etc.) and vice-versa, and providing for scientific exchanges between them,
- contributing to improving the quality of scientific research by providing digital access to a large number of albanological works, archived material, bibliographical information, etc. which are otherwise very difficult or impossible to access,
- periodically editing its scientific Journal of the International Network of Albanology (JINA),
- organising the biannual Congresses of the International Network of Albanology,
- creating attractive conditions for the further qualification of promising, young and passionate students of albanology,
- offering scientific and professional assistance for academic institutions (mainly public), through membership,
- calling attention to new publications in albanology, as well as to studies which are of direct interest to albanological research, by preparing and publishing objective reviews of some of these works,
- publishing offers for employment, collaboration opportunities, grants and more in the field of albanology,
- informing the public about albanological issues and providing professional assistance to interested amateurs and students of albanology (eg. linguistic assistance),
