Objectives
INA’s overall goal is to improve the quality of albanological research; which, through the network, will be achieved mainly by:
- offering an effective, efficient and continuous circulation of scientific information, mainly about albanology but also related disciplines.
- improving the scientific objectivity of albanological studies, and in particular, freeing them from nationalistic tendencies
- offering a genuine bilateral and continual interdisciplinary collaboration with sister domains such as Balkan, Indo-European, Roman and Oriental studies
- actively coordinating scientific energies
- contributing to the creation and crystallization of new, effective and modern albanological structures, mainly in Europe, through careful coordination
- facilitating and encouraging the integration of young and promising albanologists
- promoting awareness of albanology and improving its image and visibility;
- planning and organizing concrete short-term and long-term projects such as the publication of the international scientific journal of the association and periodical interdisciplinary activities such as congresses, workshops, seminars, etc.
- using modern technologies to these ends.
