| Researcher of "Lingua e Letteratura Albanese" ("Albanian Language and Literature") at the University of Salento (Lecce-Italy). Under her guidance was realized the project Promoalba (Interreg Italia–Albania III A, cf. www.europuglia.it), concerned with problems and methods of translating Albanian into Italian. As a consequence of this project 16 monographs of different fields (literature, linguistics, social sciences, etc.) have been published, partly translations from Albanian into Italian, partly from Italian into Albanian. At the occasion of important international conferences of Albanian and Balkan subjects she contributed various papers. She is a member of AISSEE – Associazione Italiana di Studi del Sud-est europeo and of Società Italiana di Glottologia. |
| Her main research interests focus on Historical Albanian Linguistics, Balkan Linguistics, and Translation Practices of Albanian into Italian. |
